About Hope Youngblood:

I am a director, creative producer, and experience designer working at the intersection of theatre, movement, and immersive storytelling.

For over a decade, I have been part of the directing leadership behind Punchdrunk’s Sleep No More, working across Boston, New York, and Shanghai. From 2018–2022, I served as Resident Director and In-House Creative Director of the Shanghai production, overseeing performance operations, creative development, and large-scale experiential activations.

My work expands immersive theatre into narrative-driven environments that center the audience as an active presence within the world of the piece. I design experiences where the audience moves through the story, influencing its rhythm, perspective, and meaning.

I have directed and created over 30 original experiences—from touring productions and large-scale installations to fashion shows, broadcasts, and live events. Recent projects include The Death of Rasputin, an award-winning immersive production in New York, as well as collaborations with Valentino, Airbnb, TikTok, and Tom Ford.

As an independent Creative Director, I develop performances, environments, and events that blend theatrical storytelling with spatial design and emotional precision.

I look forward to leveraging my expertise and expanding my horizons in 2026. Let’s get in touch.
